Our Philosophy
At Nurturing Neighs, we take a gentle, respectful approach that honours the choices of both our ponies and visiting children. While we know how exciting pony interactions can be, we prioritise animal welfare, safety and meaningful experiences above all.
Over the years, through our long-time experience working closely with horses and children, we’ve learned to really connect with them and understand their needs, emotions and boundaries. This deep relationship has shaped the way we involve our animals in everything we do. Completing our Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) course only cemented that belief further, showing us just how important it is to respect the autonomy and emotional well-being of the ponies and horses we work with.
For us, this means creating a calm and nurturing environment where ponies aren’t treated as entertainment or expected to perform, but rather as sentient partners who deserve choice and care. We’ve found that pony rides, particularly in party settings, don’t align with that vision.
Our birthday parties offer gentle, hands-on interactions that focus on learning and building respectful, on-the-ground relationships with our ponies. This creates a richer, more compassionate experience for children and a kinder life for our ponies. Leaving kids feeling seen, grounded and deeply connected.
Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission. We believe that by doing less to animals and more with them, we can nurture something truly special.
